Outstanding
Developer: Nebula Forge Studios Publisher: Apex Interactive Platforms: PC, PS5, Xbox Series X Genre: Open-World RPG

Stellar Vanguard: Echoes of the Void is the kind of game that comes along once in a generation. From the moment you step off your starship onto the first alien world, you are greeted by a level of environmental storytelling that rivals the very best the genre has ever produced. Each of the game's twelve explorable planets feels genuinely distinct — not just visually, but in terms of culture, ecology, and the moral dilemmas they present.

The combat system has been rebuilt from the ground up compared to the original Stellar Vanguard. Real-time ability chaining, environmental interaction, and a surprisingly deep skill tree mean that no two players will approach encounters the same way. Boss fights in particular deserve special mention: they are challenging without being unfair, and each one tells a story through its mechanics.

The narrative is where Stellar Vanguard truly earns its score. The writing team has crafted a story about identity, loss, and the cost of progress that will stay with you long after the credits roll. Voice acting across the board is exceptional, with standout performances from the lead cast.
